Integrated Decision Engineering Analysis, Inc. is headquartered in
Denver, Colorado. Its president, Duane Habeck, founded Airport Integrated
Systems, Inc. (AIS) in 1993. During the 90''s and the early part of this decade,
AIS provided support to and led many major airport technology and electronics
systems projects. AIS has become renowned throughout the industry for its
ability to develop integrated, functional systems for increasingly complex
airport environments. During this period of time, AIS developed and integrated
many planning processes to provide a means for planning and implementing
holistic and comprehensive technology systems. The automation of the database
and planning systems led to the development of several proprietary software
tools that have been used extensively for business and technology
planning.
The events of September 11, 2001 brought into focus the glaring
need to enhance security at public and private facilities throughout the US and
the world. IDEA was formed in 2003 to bring the same type of integrated planning
and systems support to homeland security efforts as AIS has brought to airports
for over a decade. As the tools were applied to security and emergency
management planning, it also became clear that there is critical need for the
same rigorous, holistic planning approach in developing strategic plans within
private, corporate environments.
